We both had such a fab 2 day stay, it wasHome from home, & a very comfortable hotel. Our host was just wonderfully welcoming,Great location, with good surroundings.The breakfasts are well worth getting up for. The Poached eggs come highly recommendedOverall a perfect few days. We stayed in room 1 - Garden suite, I think it was called. Not sure how it related to the (loosely termed) garden, but it was a very well appointed and spacious room. Lovely big comfortable bed, and comfy sofa. Large bathroom, and everything you would need. Close to a main road, but very, very quiet and serene inside, so don't be put off by that at all. The breakfast is really excellent with quality, locally sourced ingredients. You can usually judge the ability of a chef by their poached eggs, and these were spot on. The dining room/ lounge/ bar, is very appealing with a great ambience about it, and sympathetically furnished. Really lovely. A very pleasant and relaxing place to stay with friendly and helpful hosts. Convenient location for everything that Burford has to offer too. Thank-you for the glasses of bubbly for our wedding anniversary - a nice touch and appreciated.- Martin P
Burford lodge is a fabulous quirky place and a bonus to have great parking sadly missing in a lot of placed in Burford Andrea the host is fantastic and the breakfast was amazing a great place to stay in the lovely cotswolds would give 10 stars if possible big thumbs up- Jane
